Martin Febery
Before becoming an independent financial advisor (IFA), Martin worked as an accountant in various industries and consulting roles for the initial 25 years of his career. He is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA) and holds a Master’s Degree in Finance. During that period, Martin discovered his passion for helping small and medium-sized business owners understand their financial connection within the company, ultimately leading him to independent financial advice.
As an IFA, Martin’s approach is grounded in the core principles of finance, rather than adopting a sales-oriented mindset. He genuinely loves tackling problems and collaborating with clients to find the most effective, rather than the simplest, solutions. Martin earned his Level 4 (DipFA) qualification in 2016 and completed Level 6 (AdvDipFA) in 2021. He is now a Chartered Associate of The London Institute of Banking and Finance (Chartered ALIBF), specialising in Later Life Planning (CertLTCP) and Financial Planning in Retirement (FPIR).
Outside of work, Martin and his partner maintain a small farm, where they care for a growing number of horses, ponies, chickens, dogs, a cat… and a handful of children. Martin has been training in mixed martial arts for several years, so when he’s not providing financial advice, you can often find him working out or having fun riding his retired racehorse and jumping over obstacles.
